DERMATOLOGICAL AND BIOLOGICAL LABORATORY

Our products are tested under dermatological control, guaranteeing perfect safety for skin and eyes.

Our formulas are Cosmos organic certified, a label from COSMEBIO . Our factory and industrial services are audited annually by the independent body ECOCERT.

We uphold the following principles:

  • use clean manufacturing processes that respect human health and the environment.

VEGAN SKINCARE 99% NATURAL ORIGIN

We do not conduct any animal testing (in accordance with European Regulation No. 1223/2009), and we do not use any animal-derived raw materials.

The naturalness of our ingredients is calculated according to the ISO 116128 standard. We have set our requirement for facial care products at over 99% naturally derived ingredients.

The remaining 1% are preservatives or materials necessary to maintain the formula and they comply with the Cosmos BIO standard.

CLINICALLY PROVEN EFFECTIVENESS

Efficacy is always our primary objective when formulating new skincare products. Each ingredient is selected for its effects on the skin. We then validate our formulas through clinical trials and evaluation by dermatologists and medical toxicologists. Every claim, every "promise," is based on scientific truth. We don't make claims like "anti-dark spot" or "firming" without substantiating them.

4 PATENTS AND OVER 20 YEARS OF RESEARCH

Our laboratory is unique. We possess unparalleled expertise and knowledge of Isatis tinctoria – the Latin name for woad – which we have been studying since 2003. All our Research and Development efforts are focused on mastering the plant molecules we identify in different parts of the plant, and whose potential applications in dermatology we then test. This tireless work has enabled our scientific teams to file four patents over time.

Our commitment to the woad agricultural sector allows us to maintain perfect traceability. This commitment is reflected in our cultivation, which is carried out using certified organic farming methods (AB label). We practice regenerative agriculture that promotes biodiversity (shallow plowing, no inputs other than manure, beehives, hedgerows, etc.).

Our founder, Carole Garcia, wanted to acquire agricultural expertise and now cultivates 60 hectares of organic land in the Gers region, near the village of Lectoure. The Graine de Pastel estate is a guarantee of origin and quality.

LOCALLY MANUFACTURING IN TOULOUSE

It's obvious to us, as it is to you. All the direct contributors to the production of the skincare products you love are French, and almost all of them have a Southwest accent!

Our agricultural estate is in Gers, our cases and labels are manufactured in Auch and Carcassonne, our production line is in Toulouse, our plant extraction partnerships in biotechnology are in Toulouse, Montpellier and Paris.

This commitment is reflected in a highly optimized carbon footprint, which we publish annually.

ASSEMBLY IN A SOCIAL INTEGRATION INSTITUTE

For over 20 years, we have chosen a team with "that little something extra" for the final assembly of our products, the packaging and boxing, the application of labels, the making of our kits, etc.

We are proud of this long-term partnership with the ASEI association, which provides part-time employment for around ten people.

SECURE GLASS AND ALUMINUM PACKAGING

Choosing safety is not a neutral decision. Our containers are!

Our jars and tubes are made of glass and aluminum, food-grade materials that do not release harmful particles, unlike some plastics. This limits a potential risk.

And it's very easy to throw your packaging in the recycling bin; it will be recycled. Laboratoire Graine de Pastel is a member of CITEO, a non-profit organization that finances sorting and recycling programs.

TRANSPARENCY ON ALL OUR INGREDIENTS

We select our active ingredients according to strict origin criteria: France, then the European Union. Our formulas are transparent, and we explain them for you.

Our formulation charter is restrictive: regular scientific monitoring allows us to eliminate certain components deemed risky, and to react quickly.

We are proud to be a family-run, committed, and unique laboratory. Because our founder always prioritized her commitment to the local community and the quality of her cosmetic products above any financial considerations, we are growing thanks to you, your loyalty, and your recommendations. We have never spent money on advertising in print, television, radio, or billboards. We refuse to participate in Black Friday-style sales promotions.

Our prices allow for fair compensation for all our partners, in a fair economic chain.
